Just a few days left before The Morrow Mountain Massacre. There are still slots available to sign up but you had better hurry. For more information on this ride click the link above or go to Weekly Rides or visit Bicycles East of Matthews. Don’t miss this opportunity to be one of the first to attempt such madness.

A few NEW ride details;

  1. The route is a great one. It’s well marked and cue sheets will be available. The combination of the "All New" Bicycles East route and the always fun "Assault on Morrow Mountain" route make for a great day of riding.
  2. LUNCH will be served…make it to the top of Morrow Mountain and enjoy a great lunch before you journey back to Bicycles East.
  3. Lot’s of "on course" SAG support will be provided by the likes of Lori C., Bud & Nicole H., Gary C. and a few of the "Not Ready for Prime Time" Rank Riders just to name a few. You will be surrounded by lot’s of friends…there to encourage you as you ride…(or maybe just glad it’s you riding and not them) but either way they’ll be happy.
  4. Rest Stops will be available at almost any place you need one.
  5. The Free T-Shirt looks great with a newly designed ride logo on the back and a picture of the official MMM road mark on the front…cross the finish line on your bike, under your own power and you get one…FREE!
  6. The ride starts a 7am and all riders must be done by 4:30pm…just in time to enjoy the "often imitated but never duplicated" "Bicycles East" Post Ride Cook Out. There’s no better way to end a ride…food, fun and friends!

Registration is filling up quickly, be a part of history, don’t miss the Inaugural Morrow Mountain Massacre!

The next Morrow Mountain Bike MS training ride is this Saturday. Jeff is still looking for a few volunteers to help with rest stops and SAG duties.

Hours are from 7 AM until 2 PM. Jeff needs someone with a pickup truck to manage a rest stop and needs one more SAG vehicle. The SAG vehicle just needs to be able to carry 1 or 2 bikes. Please let Jeff know if you can help… the sooner the better. Click on Jeff’s name below to send him an email.

Thank you,
Jeff Viscount

The folks at our local MS chapter have asked Jeff Viscount to run the Morrow Mountain ride again as an MS Training Ride for the 2008 Bike MS event. Jeff has told them yes but he will need some help… Jeff needs to staff three rest stops and provide 2 SAG’s.  If you can help please let Jeff know.

  1. The time commitment is 7 AM until 2 PM on Saturday the 19th.
  2. Not all volunteers will be needed for the entire day so if you can help but want to get out earlier than 2pm, Jeff can make that work.
  3. SAG’s will be reimbursed for gas while roaming the course.
  4. As always, a pick up truck moves you to the front of the line.
  5. The vertical climb is 4400 ft. if you ride. The vertical climb is zero if you help.  Smile

If you want to help let Jeff know ASAP so he can finalize the plans.
