Man was it windy, going out the tail wind was wonderful, coming back, there were sections where I wondered if I ws going to be able to keep the bike upright. It was a good thing I didn’t have 50mm deep rims. Seemed like the entire way back was uphill. Best thing about it, it was a day in the saddle.

This is a scenic ride through Union County that starts and ends at the Newtown Elementary School. The route is well marked. Some will recognize it as the lower section of the recent Veterans Day Charity event. There are a few small hills at the beginning of the ride, but nothing too difficult. This ride has a "no drop" policy, you will not be left behind, but be prepared for a few faster stretches of road.
First time on the bike in almost three weeks. It was a hard day, chest hurt nearly the entire ride, couldn’t breathe freely. Still being outside was better than being on the couch, napping. Here are the stats and the route map.
