Quick update

Been told by the doctor ‘no work for two more weeks.’ This is killing me. Next check-up is April 3rd.

Been working on Bike #2. Nothing else to do at the moment. Replacing the fork this weekend, and bars next week.

Been investigating natural ways to lower cholesterol without medication, so far large doses of Niacin (Nicotinic Acid) appear to have the most data and the fewest side effects. Nothing like the Statins on the market now. Will start looking at other supplements soon.

Changing fork lengths, does it matter.

There are many people in this world that fuss over every minute detail on their bicycles. They care about this angle or that angle. They care about whether or not the wheel is 1 mm out of true or 1 mm out of round. Are the tires filled precisely to 110 psi front 115 psi rear.

Summary of tandem upgrades

After everything was said and done, here is a summary of the upgrades/swaps that we did on out Cannondale Road Tandem. Nashbar/Winwood cyclocross fork replaces the Cannondale Tandem Specific Fatty fork. Avid SD-7 linear pull brakes replace the Avid BB-7 mechanical disc brakes. Custom wheels built from Shimano M760 hubs, DT Swiss R1.1 rims and WheelSmith DB spokes replaces OEM 40 hole wheels.
