Quick notes and announcements

Starting May 3rd the start time of the Saturday morning Bee Team ride changes to 8:00 AM. The start location remains the same, Waxhaw Elementary School. Please check the Bee Team web site for specific details. The calendar has been appropriately updated.

Quick Update

There are still a few glitches that have to be worked out after the move, but it looks like it is coming together nicely. One of the things I would like my readers to check is, if you have already registered as a user please see if you can log-in. There was a little editing that had to be done to the specific table of users and I am not 100% certain that the edits were all correct.

I am sorry I missed the Assault on Morrow Mountain. I hear it was a great ride put on by Jeff Viscount. Congratulations to all that participated.

Hopefully next weekend I will be back at full strength and riding all I can to train for Mt Mitchell and riding with all my friends.

Quick update

Been told by the doctor ‘no work for two more weeks.’ This is killing me. Next check-up is April 3rd.

Been working on Bike #2. Nothing else to do at the moment. Replacing the fork this weekend, and bars next week.

Been investigating natural ways to lower cholesterol without medication, so far large doses of Niacin (Nicotinic Acid) appear to have the most data and the fewest side effects. Nothing like the Statins on the market now. Will start looking at other supplements soon.

Quick Notes

The Bee Team Sunday Afternoon Ride has been updated, new starting schedule and an additional route was mapped in MapMyRide complete with cue sheet in the map notes.

I will be posting an update to my hospital stay next week and my recovery progress.

Nicole and I are preparing for Mt Mitchell/Marion.

The Cureton Town Center Ride time corrected

Nicole is healing well. She will also be sporting a new helmet and glasses as the old helmet cracked in the fall and here glasses suffered a huge scratch on the left lens. She told me yesterday that she would have finished the ride under her own power if she had not tweaked the front wheel and flatted. She is a lot stronger person than she lets on.

I do not know this cyclist personally but I have been asked about Matt Allen several times so I thought a quick post would be in order. Please, this is all the information I know about the situation.

On Saturday, Matt Allen, 42, suffered what appeared to be a heart attack during a club supported training ride. Two riders stopped and since they could not find a pulse administered CPR until EMTs arrived at the scene.
