The Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Criterium is excited to announce its inclusion in both the U.S.A. National Racing Series and U.S.A. CRITS Championship series. We’ll ride the extended Mint Hill loop. This is the same course that we did on Memorial Day with rolling hills and light traffic through Mecklenburg – Union – Stanley and Cabarrus counties. This ride leaves from the public lot across the RR tracks from bike shop parking lot in downtown Matthews.

The Assault on Mt Mitchell training ride number 4, aslo known as the Marquis de Sade ride is upon us. Starting from North Greenville University in Travelers Rest, SC and traveling up the Greenville watershed into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just over 80 miles and almost 9,000′ of vertical ascent with some steep grades thrown in for good measure this is the perfect ride to help hurdle you toward the top of Mt Mitchell.

The Collier Lilly Ride 4 Life is a recreational bike ride to honor the life of Collier Cobb Lilly, raise awareness and money for organ sharing, and to bring various communities together to celebrate life.

Benefitting LifeShare Of The Carolinas

In memory of Collier, the proceeds from The Collier Lilly Ride 4 Life will be given to LifeShare Of The Carolinas, a Charlotte based organ procurement organization. LifeShare Of The Carolinas serves 37 hospitals in a 23 county area and works closely with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), which maintains the national computerized waiting list for potential transplant recipients.

A charity bicycle ride to the top of Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, and Sauratown Mountain

Where: Start and finish at Armfield Civic & Recreation Center

Time: Registration starts at 7 AM, Riders off at 8 AM

Length: Choose a century (95 mile) loop with three mountains, a 75-mile three mountain loop or a 41-mile rolling loop . You can also ride the 95 or the 75 mile loop and skip one or more of the mountain climbs.  The 75 mile loop without the mountain climbs is approximately 63 miles long.

We’ll ride the NEW extended Mint Hill Loop with a 34 mile and 50 mile option. This ride will leave from the bike shop parking lot in downtown Matthews. Please park in the public lot across the RR Tracks.
