I would think Eggbeaters or Speedplays would be better but back in "the day" it wasn't that hard to get out of clips if they were not cinched down tight. I would think to catch quickly they would want clips and recessed shoes to run. I notice 2 officers in the Arysley Village area off of the connector 485/Tryon. And they corner of Tyvola/49 Tryon when heading from work to home (4:45pm). Did not notice they feet clips though. Wonder if its the norm, or their preference.
