Many thanks to Jeff Viscount and the volunteers who put together another great Morrow Mountain ride. The weather cooperated with fog in the morning that helped to keep temperatures cool. By the time the fog had completely cleared the temperatures got a bit warmer but never too hot to ride.

Another local cycling website

For those of us that spend inordinate amounts of time in front of a computer screen. I like others occasionally find myself doing a bit of surfing on the world wide web for cycling information, well if you are in the Carolina’s sometimes that info is not as easy to find. This is where David Queen comes in. David runs a site named CyCleCarolina.com where he links to lots of cycling information on the web. He has pictures of various area cycling events dating back to 2006. For those more adventurous he also has compiled a list of links to quite a number of Cue Sheets (his site lists them incorrectly as Que Sheets).

Some good, some bad…

News that is. So I went to the surgeon for one more check-up and to ask why the drain hole is not sealing up. To also ask if I will make my September 1st season start date. Well the good news is that I am healthy!

Presbyterian Hospital put on a great race yesterday. It was fun watching all the racers and seeing some old friends again. We managed to get a few good pictures and have posted them in a gallery located here.

Feel free to download any of the pictures you see there, the downloads are 6mp .JPG files with no watermarks or other visible markings suitable for printing. Enjoy.

imageMake room on your calendar for Pedal The Park for Levine & Dickson Hospice House. The 2009 event, supporting Palliative and Hospice care will held on Monday, September 7th. The start time is 8:00 AM.

This upcoming Saturday, August 8th is the Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Criterium in uptown Charlotte. If you are planning to attend please make an entire evening of it and come out early. Some of the best cyclist I know are women and they deserve our support. The women’s race starts at 5:30 and is a 25 mile event through the streets of uptown Charlotte. Yhen of course stay for the men’s race.
