CyclingNews covered this event with a lot of pictures.
There were a lot of Snow Bikes (when it snows here everyone stays inside) and some tandems. Paketa showed their version 2 tandem that they claim can be built to about 24 pounds with the right component mix. Wow 24 pound tandem, that is 2 pounds lighter than our Ruegammer!
Quite a few single speed and commuter bikes. Renovo featured a ride worthy wooden frame bike.
Rocky Mountain Bike Show – Part 1
There were plenty of track bikes and a few randonneur bikes as well. One built with higher volume 650B wheels, supposedly for additional comfort on those long trips. Zinn showed a buch of big man parts including his custom cranks available in sizes from 130mm – 220mm. Of course there were a few bikes sporting BB30 and Shimano DI2 drivetrains
Rocky Mountain Bike Show – Part 2
One of these days I am planning to attend one of these shows. It will be like a kid in a candy store after getting his first allowance. Better make sure to lock the credit card away.
