Hopefully this will be the final update until the frame is shipping!. If it’s not one thing it’s another. Believe me when I say that having a custom frame built is one of the most frustrating experiences anyone can ever go through. Broken promises, delays, lack of communication, more delays, more broken promises.

Well it looks like we are definitely at the final stages before delivery of our new tandem frame. The frame is prepped and masked for the initial paint. Just to set expectations the green you see on the frame is masking tape that will not be the color of the bike.
Funny/sad story out of California, Cisco CTO enraged that his new Cervélo was a day late wrote that he wanted the LBS salesman to die. Is there any bike you would kill for?

Dorel, the parent company of Cannondale will finally cease production of US made frames starting with the 2011 model year. The Made in USA marketing will cease to be a factor in the future. I am not sure what this will mean for Cannondale but it doesn’t have to mean that the quality that is usually associated with Cannondale has to go away. There are quite a few Asian made frames that can stand up as some of the best in the world.
Just a real quick note! Hopefully not an April Fool’s joke.
The sander is done and the frame is back in route to Mesa Arizona. Brent emailed us to let us know that sometime next week it should be shipped to Nicole and I. Can’t wait to show it off and to do a sort of photo documentary of the building process.
