Everything seems OK – Yin & Yang – Update #18

Well it looks like we are definitely at the final stages before delivery of our new tandem frame. The frame is prepped and masked for the initial paint. Just to set expectations the green you see on the frame is masking tape that will not be the color of the bike.

With Rue Sports standard paint job different things are painted with slight variations. For instance, the ‘decals’ are actually painted under the clear coat. To get an idea of what the actual paint scheme is anywhere you see a name that is currently black lettering that will eventually be White or Silver. In spots where the lettering is currently white, those letters will eventually be clear or rather you will be able to see the black unidirectional carbon underneath. The remainder of the area with green tape will be clear coated unidirectional carbon. The currently unmasked potions will be Metallic Silver on the edges with the majority being bright White as the main field color. Take a look at the picture below:

Hopefully just one more week before we have the frame in hand.
