Riding Season Has Officially Started

Can you believe Snow on Wednesday morning and then 70 degrees by the weekend! What a way to kick off the riding season. Saturday was a fast ride, and anyone who complains about the pace should seriously reexamine their role in keeping the pace fairly high.

There were some slow sections as the wind really increased at a pretty steady pace as the temperature rose during the day. By the time we had gotten to Stack Road it was pretty harsh, especially if you dropped off the back of the group. Crow Road was also much slower than normal as the wind was a constant factor.

But is was good company and the route offered some scenery that we do not always look at or appreciate. It was easier to see different things even on a familiar route as we did it backwards from the “normal” direction.

Sunday was the usual Bee Team easy ride. I actually got Nicole to bring her single and ride for the first time since December. It will certainly be easier on me when we finally get our new tandem. It was refreshing for a change to got low intensity / slow speed. I also hope that Mark is feeling better.
