While being chased by a rabid farm dog I was struck by a runaway truck that flipped me and my bike into a freight train. Bouncing off the train I was bitten by the rabid dog before I could get my water bottle and squirt electrolytes in the dogs eyes. Then the dag ran away.
Here are the pictures:
Bicycles East has a few pictures up in their gallery also
So the real story is that I just fell at the beginning, before the ride. Most likely ripped a blood vessel under the skin. The heart pumping and 15 miles later it looked like the lump you see in the pictures. I was more embarrassed than in pain. I certainly will be more careful from now on.
By the way, I am trying out a new feature, since these images are geotagged I thought I would try to display them on a map. That part seems to work, but the pictures were all taken at the same spot so you really can’t see that there are 10 images in that one location.

The last I heard the dog was fine, might be a little scared though.
