This week is Bike Charlotte. Make sure you go to BikeCharlotte.com for all the local bike related events this week.

May is National Bike Month, Bike-to-work week is May 12-16, and Bike-to-work day is May 16. If you need more ideas on how to promote cycling in your area the League of American Wheelmen have a .PDF file for you, 50 Things For Bike Month.

Just a reminder, the Inaugural Poker Ride, sponsored by Bicycles East, will be held this Saturday May 10. Find out more at BikesEast.com and sign up at ActiverZach.

BIKE! Charlotte

When I first came back to riding BIKE! Charlotte was the first organized event that Nicole and I did together. That was two years ago. This year the events surrounding BIKE! Charlotte run from Thursday May 1st through Sunday May 11th.

Bikes can ride for free on CATS Buses and LYNX Light Rail.

Bee Team Saturday Morning Ride

Please note that the rides during the summer months are 30 and 45 miles

The Bee Team mid-winter to mid-spring rides will be the same time and place every weekend, excluding monthly event rides.  If the temperature if below 40 when the ride is to begin it will be a show and go ride.

Mid Saturday Morning Ride

Nice ride between Matthews and Mint Hill. A little bit of town riding in traffic leaving and entering Matthews. Mostly rural roads with little traffic except for a very short stretch on Lawyers Rd. See maps below for start location and route.

Early Saturday Morning Ride

Looking for a description of this ride along with a cue sheet or map. If you have any additional information please use the contact form to let us know. Parking is located east of the railroad tracks. During the winter months ride will average 19 mph.
