Offering 56 and 28 mile bike courses, a certified 5K run, and a 2.5K family fun walk, the Joann Gaddy Grimes Big Event to Fight Cancer has an event for every member of the family!
The Grimes Big Event still has one of the most festive Finish Line Celebrations in the area. With the Kid’s Korner, great food, and the Bluegrass Experience on stage, it will be a fun-filled morning for kids of all ages! We hope to see you and your family again next year.
Directions to Parking at Country Park:
Coming from the South or East, get on US 220 N which will become Battleground Ave. Proceed north past Cone Blvd., and Rice Toyota on the right and left. Turn right on Pisgah Church Road (a large Lowe’s is on the left at the light). Then, take a quick left onto Forest Lawn Road. Go straight into a very large parking area and proceed as far as possible (.4 miles), parking near the wooden gate which will be closed. Walk or ride your bike about 200 yards and our Pavilion #7 will be dead ahead.
If you are coming from the West on I-40, get off at the Guilford College Exit. Proceed East 2.7 miles. Rt. at light on New Garden Road. Go East 3.0 miles to Battleground Ave. Rt. on Battleground then 1.3 miles to Pisgah Church Road (Lowe’s on the right). Left on Pisgah Church Roan then .1 miles left on Forest Lawn Drive. Straight into the large parking lot .4 miles then park and walk about 200 yards to the #7 Pavilion.
