Promoting a friendlier and safer environment in Charlotte for bicycle transportation.

Teaching bicycle safety for riders of all ages. Heightening driver awareness of SHARE THE ROAD concept Supporting “bike-friendly” changes in the Charlotte Area Transportation Plan.

Register online and avoid the long lines! Family Ride starts at 8:45. The 13 and 25 Mile rodes start at 9:30.

What a beautiful day for a ride. There were a few people I knew there at the ride start. A few Bee teamers, and I also ran into a few others I knew and/or have ridden with in the past. The route took you out of Harrisburg, NC from Hickory Ridge High School and headed basically in a southeasterly direction into Union County, then it makes a turn almost directly north back into Cabarrus County before turning west to the finish.

Or should I say Team High Road? This news is all over the web so I am not going to say much here. The former T-Mobile professional cycling team is now named The High Road team.  Obviously a name that falls in line with their stated anti-doping policies. The sponsors that gone are; Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile), Audi and now the bicycle manufacturer Giant.
