Sheldon Brown: 1944-2008

Sheldon Brown, "Mr Bicycle", passed away last night as a result of a massive heart attack, as mentioned in an email from his wife.

For those of you who don’t know who Mr Brown is, go to his website and find out just how much Sheldon knew about bicycles and bicycling. He will be missed.

He was also a regular contributor to BikeForums, dispensing tidbits of information to all new cyclists. He was also on the staff of Harris Cyclery in West Newton, Massachusetts.

He had a great sense of humor, with some of his articles bordering on rolling on the floor laughing out loud (ROTFLOL) kind of funny. His website is a treasure trove of bits of bicycle folklore and wisdom picked up over his too short 64 year life. Go visit his site today.
