If you are looking to add just a little bit of bling to your bike and don’t know what it is missing, maybe this is for you.
Back in the day it was possible to have your front end be 100% color coordinated. There was a company named A’ME that made brake hoods in some of the coolest colors and with slightly different ergonomics. Alas those days ended in the 80’s. Now you can bring back a little of that pizzazz! Groupe de Tete has brought back the colored brake hoods. They are calling them Hüdz (pronounced just like hoods). They are available in a variety of colors and can be had for Campagnolo and Shimano Dura-Ace brake levers, Ultegra is coming soon.
They are available in a wide range of colors (shown above is the Roubaix Red):
- Bastogne Blue
- Roubaix Red
- Ghent Grey
- Wallonne White
- San Remo Green
- Vlaanderen Yellow
- Paris Pink
- Brugge Black
For more information, go down to your favorite local bike shop and ask them to look in the on-line QBP catalog, or visit GrabTheHudz web site.
I have some of these on order and will review them after they are installed.
