New stuff in the event calendar

iCal Honey One of the things I personally look forward to is riding with new and interesting people. In order to promote that as much as possible, The Incidental Cyclist will now be adding local rides to it’s events calendar. If you hear of a local ride, or just want to get the word out about a great group to ride with, just let us know and we will add it too.

Each ride will have only one post but the calendar will be updated regularly. The exception to this will be when something substantial changes about the ride, such as the start location, ride length, average speed, etc. Contact information will be provided for each ride. Although we are striving for 100% accuracy things come up so if you are not sure if a ride is going to take place please use the provided ride contacts to find out for yourself.

A feature of this calendar is that you can actually subscribe to a feed. This means that if you are using Apple iCal, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Vista Calendar, Microsoft Works, among others you will be able to keep updated automagically. The link to the ICS feed is located under the sidebar calendar and in the Events page. For more information about the ICalendar format visit Wikipedia.

I am going to restrict entries in the calendar to actual rides. I will not be posting information about parties, store sales, or other non-ride specific events. That policy may change in the future, but for now, it is rides only.
