iCal Honey One of the things I personally look forward to is riding with new and interesting people. In order to promote that as much as possible, The Incidental Cyclist will now be adding local rides to it’s events calendar. If you hear of a local ride, or just want to get the word out about a great group to ride with, just let us know and we will add it too.

Cureton Town Center Rides

The Cureton rides start out riding through Waxhaw and work their way around to Van Wyck and back. The longer routes go a little further down towards Lancaster. These routes incorporate a lot of the local area routes. They are all marked with Y’s and directional arrows. There are three routes including 38, 50, and a 58 mile options.

Start Location: Cureton Town Center (Corner of Providence and Kensington Roads)

The Zoo Ride

This is a scenic ride through Union County that starts and ends at the Newtown Elementary School. The route is well marked. Some will recognize it as the lower section of the recent Veterans Day Charity event. There are a few small hills at the beginning of the ride, but nothing too difficult. This ride has a "no drop" policy, you will not be left behind, but be prepared for a few faster stretches of road.
