Anyway the DT rims with dual eyelets have proven to be very stout rims capable, if properly built and tensioned of holding up the weight of a tandem couple. Best of luck. Yes they are built up and I am currently running them all the time on our tandem. Please note we are not like so many other tandem teams in that we do no loaded touring.
