Or should I say Team High Road? This news is all over the web so I am not going to say much here. The former T-Mobile professional cycling team is now named The High Road team.  Obviously a name that falls in line with their stated anti-doping policies. The sponsors that gone are; Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile), Audi and now the bicycle manufacturer Giant.

This past weekend we had a little taste of winter weather. For a couple of days it was cool and wet. So much so that I did not even attempt to ride. That is not usually the case for me as wet weather is not really that big a deal, if you know what to expect.

As I get to learn more about the WordPress software and the capabilities to extend the software through plugins, there may be a few changes to the site. Some of them will be obvious, some will be “under the hood” types of improvements.

One of the first things I have implemented is a way to help others promote their web sites. If you are familiar with Google and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) you will be pleased to know that The Incidental Cyclist is running the NoFollow Free plugin. Comments and Trackbacks will have the nofollow tag removed after a certain number of posts and all registered users will have the nofollow tag removed from all their comments. For more information on the nofollow HTML attribute visit the nofollow Wiki page.

ATC2KWhile riding our tandem I have a video camera mounted on the handlebars. That camera is the Oregon Scientific ATC2K. It is an inexpensive digital video camera that can capture 30 fps at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

The ATC2K is waterproof to 10 feet. I would personally never try to take this camera underwater but it is good to know since sometimes you just get caught in the rain. Having a waterproof camera is a good thing in those situations.

CIMG0417 The Internet is an interesting place. But when it comes to shopping, there are just so many choices and so much information available that it can be a bewildering and complex decision especially when it comes to purchasing a bicycle.

It used to be that the only place you could buy a bicycle of any quality was at a specialty bicycle store. If you wanted cycling specific clothing, accessories or bike parts, you had very little choice but to go to you local bike shop. So off you would go to your local bike shop and hope that they had what you wanted, in the size and/or color that you needed and if not that they could order it for you.
